FAQs
Did you really write all these books? I did! I've been reading, studying, and teaching tarot and astrology since 1997.
Are you self-published or traditionally published? I'm a hybrid author. My tarot and astrology books are traditionally published, but I chose to go indie with my fiction, which I write as Cielle Kenner. That way I can streamline the writing, editing, and publishing process. Fiction is much faster to write, mostly because I don't need to research the stories I make up!
Who is Cielle Kenner? That's the pen name I use when I write fiction. "Cielle" is based on my initials, C.L. (for Corrine Lynn), but I thought it sounded fancier all spelled out. As Cielle, I write magical cozy mysteries with a time-travel twist.
Will you personalize the inscriptions? Of course! Contact me when you place your order, and let me know whose name to include. If you don't hear back from me within a day, I might be lost in the imaginary world of my current writing projects. Feel free to nudge me with a second email.
When can I expect my order? I ship once a week, so please allow two weeks for delivery.
Are your books available from brick-and-mortar shops? Yes. Even if you don't see them on the shelves of your local bookseller, your favorite retailer will be happy to order them for you.
Are your books available from online merchants? Yes. You can find most of my publications on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Llewellyn websites. Check eBay and Abebooks if you're looking for copies of books that are out of print.
Are your books available in audio? Yes, my fiction books are all on Audible.
How do you set your prices? Some of the books and decks in my shop have sadly gone out of print. A few are highly collectible, and they're not readily available through other retailers. My own stock is limited (and so is my time), so I've set my prices accordingly.
Why are your prices so much higher than Amazon's? When you buy directly from me, you're paying for more than a product. You're paying for a collectible—a personalized book or deck that's typically not available anywhere else. I charge more because I don't have the scale or the staffing power Amazon does. I buy my own inventory, which I purchase out of pocket. (It seems like author copies should be free, but they're not.) I pay for shipping both ways—first to my house, and then to yours. I pay for all the little extras that go into a shipment, like mailing labels, tape, and tissue paper.
The biggest factor, however, is time. I'm not charging high prices to get rich. I'm charging for the time it takes me to stop working on my other projects, figure out where the shipping labels are, un-jam the printer, and run to the store for the packing tape that has mysteriously gone missing. Sending out custom orders almost always takes more time than I expect, which means I'm not writing or publishing the next books in my queue.
Help! I can't afford to buy directly from you, but I still want you to sign my book! No worries. Send me a self-addressed stamped envelope, and I'll send you a free signed bookplate that you can paste inside the front cover.
Do you ship internationally? As I get this shop up and running, I'm limiting sales to the United States.
